Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the Cash Collections Clerk and Cash Application Clerk, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Monitor the AR aging report and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices to maintain optimal cash flow.
- Develop and implement AR policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of cash application and collections.
- Ensure the reconciliation of customer payments, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or unapplied cash.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and operations, to resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Prepare and analyze AR and cash flow reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end AR close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain relationships with key customers to ensure smooth collections and resolve escalated issues.
- Support audits by preparing and reviewing necessary documentation related to AR and cash applications.
