Roles and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute the overall manufacturing strategy to align with company goals.
- Supervise the daily manufacturing operations, making sure they run efficiently and meet production and budget targets.
- Lead a team of operations managers covering the quality control, supply chain, production and engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders in the company to ensure alignment of operations with corporate objectives.
Operational Excellence:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
- Identify areas for process improvement, implement lean manufacturing principles, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and quality.
Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
- Direct supply chain functions (strategic sourcing, planning, purchasing, inventory, shipping, receiving) through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Develop supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
- Manage inventory to optimize cash flow while ensuring adequate quantities to support execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to negotiate favorable terms and ensure supply chain efficiency.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and managing expenses without compromising quality.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining or improving production quality.
Quality Control:
- Ensure the manufacturing process adheres to strict quality standards and compliance regulations.
- Implement systems and practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure that manufacturing facilities comply with all safety regulations and industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and operations.
- Process Improvement: Proven track record of improving quality and operational efficiency.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate large teams.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification or similar certifications in operational excellence are beneficial.
