Description & Requirements

Maximus is currently looking for a Remote Reviewer. The Reviewer (Lifeline) will review and process applications and supporting documentation in order to determine eligibility for funding commitments based on the USAC Program procedures and guidelines.

This is a fully remote position-can be filled from anywhere in the continental USA.

You will be required to provide your own equipment.

Current experience supporting Maximus in a Reviewer (Lifeline) role required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls from consumers in accordance with all performance standards, policy and procedures, and protocols.
  • Transfer/refer consumers to appropriate entities according to the established guidelines.
  • Respond to all inquiries consistent with confidentiality and privacy policies and refers caller to alternate sources when appropriate.
  • Track and document all inquiries using the applicable systems.
  • Escalate calls or issues to the appropriate designated staff for resolution as needed.
  • Process referrals and other transactions from the client for completeness and accuracy.

  • Verify client identification by following standard operation procedures
  • Raise issues of concern and/or problems to Supervisor
  • Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the performance criteria
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor
  • Facilitate the fulfillment of consumer requests for materials via mail, email, or download

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required and 0-6 months of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong data entry and telephone skills
  • Proficient in the use of computers
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced work environment

  • Must reside within the United States and Must be a US Citizen

Home Office Requirements:

  • Reviewers are responsible for BYOD - Bring Your Own Device
  • Requirements:
  • Must be a Computer or Laptop
  • HP users - Removal of SMode is required
  • No Chromebooks
  • Computer Operating System: Windows 10 or Mac OS 10.14 Mojave
  • PC skills required: Reviewers must know how to open up internet browsers, minimize a screen, refresh screens, install an application and download applications. We are using Amazon Workspace - Virtual Desktop.
  • Internet Speed: Download 20Mbps / Upload 10Mbps
  • MUST be hard wired using an Ethernet cable (No Wifi)
  • Audio: USB Hard Wired headset with microphone
  • Cell Phones: Only to be used for authentication/token (6 Digit Pin number) Not to be used to perform work duties
