Maxonic maintains a close and long-term relationship with our direct client. In support of their needs, we are looking for a Sr. Design & Release / Launch Engineer, Interior, Door Trim and this is an onsite position is Casa Grande, AZ.

Responsibilities:
Be a significant contributor to a world-class Interior Components and Systems engineering team
Develop, design lead, release and launch interior Door Trim components on premium vehicles
Create industry-leading Interior Door Trim, with groundbreaking luxury, craftsmanship, performance, safety, packaging, ergonomics, and functionality
Work interactively within a cross-functional manufacturing, quality, design and vehicle engineering team, placing priority on the greater benefit of the vehicle above any one individual system
Collaborate with Interior trim suppliers to ensure technical excellence and on time delivery of Interior Components and Systems
Engineering contact supporting the launching of products directly located in the General Assembly plant
Qualifications:
5 years of demonstrated experience as a detail-oriented Interior Components and Systems development lead (for one or more: IP, Center Console, Door Trim)
3 years of demonstrated experience leading Door Trim sub-system
Experience working with General Assembly from pre-production to SOP
Proven experience in problem resolution methodologies solving interior issues as fit and finish, BSR or installation efforts.
Proven experience in mid-cycle enhancement leading Interior Components and Systems, Door trim components ideally.
Experience in product launching activities working closely with suppliers, craftsmanship, GA and quality team.
Experience creating/improving/establishing technical product specifications and timelines to achieve an accelerated development cycle towards SOP
Experienced in using CAD to create 2D/3D concept drawings, Interior Components and Systems, using CATIA V5/V6
Proven experience in interior process, such as wrapping, injection molding, painting, compression molding and other state of the art manufacturing processes
Strong competency in polymers for the design of Door Trim interior components, DFM, and GD&T
Advantageous
Flexibility and ability to adapt to achieve success in a fast-paced startup environment
One full program cycle experience from concept to production launch in automotive Interior Components and Systems
A strong desire to create the very best product, working as an integral part of a very capable team
A practical hands-on approach to complement the theoretical
Exceptional technical abilities paired with excellent communication skills
Experienced in modal analysis, finite element method analysis and computer fluid dynamics
Ability to work on a cross-functional working team of different cultures and nationalities
Education
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a relevant discipline
Fluent English including technical engineering terminology
