Mayberry Chrome Shop is a family owned company located in Mount Airy, NC. We are a a fast-growing company that is looking for a new team member to come on board as a custom semi-truck builder!

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with Chrome Shop.
• Help bring the owner of the truck's vision come to life!
• Installations include: semi-truck accessories, parts, Lights, interior components, panels, seats, wheels, and stereo equipment.
• Welding is a plus for fabricating chrome components on semi-trucks.
• Sets up and operates hand tools.
• Hammers, chips, and grinds workpiece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
• Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, sheers, and drill presses.
• Positions, aligns, fits, and welds together parts.
• Designs and constructs templates and fixtures.
• Develops layout and plans sequence of operations.
• Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications.
• Follows all workplace rules and safety guidelines. Demonstrates safe work practices.
• Completes all paperwork neatly and accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Parts knowledge a plus
• Needs to be able to read and follow directions
• Must pass background and drug test
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
