Mayes and Sons Plumbing Company has an opportunity for a motivated individual experienced as a Skilled Laborer. The qualified candidate will be an essential part of our construction team, reporting directly to the foreman and site supervisor. Your primary responsibilities will include operating power tools and assisting with plumbing tasks on various construction sites. We expect you to bring core skills in manual labor and safety practices, while also leveraging your premium skills in problem-solving and teamwork. Your relevant skills in construction techniques and equipment handling will be vital in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The ideal candidate will have experience including, but not limited to:
- Cleaning construction sites, removing debris, leveling ground, and preparing areas for construction activities.
- Loading and unloading plumbing materials and equipment and transporting to designated locations.
- Basic understanding of construction techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery safely.
- Supporting other on site technicians, plumbers and operators by performing basic tasks as needed.
Added experience a plus:
- Operating plumbing hand tools/equipment, jackhammer, concrete mixer
- Operate heavy equipment, skid steer and/or dump truck
Expectations of position:
- Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor; Lifting heavy up to 90lbs.
- Clean driving record and pass drug testing.
- Communicating with coworkers, dispatch team and management to ensure overall success of the business.
- Be a model of courtesy, cleanliness and respect on every service call.
- Be on time, accurate and timely with time punch and documenting jobs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $48.00 per hour
