In this position you will be responsible for managing and supporting the accounting for the company and will also be responsible for project work.
Responsibilities
• Lead daily accounting operations and ensure there is redundant process backup in place for every critical function
• Manage and Perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expense Reporting and bi weekly Payroll
• Perform daily banking activity and prepare weekly cash flow analysis
• Manage and Perform check runs, expense report disbursements and purchasing operations
• Lead the monthly financial reporting process
• Manage and Perform HR duties with the support of our 3rd party payroll processor
• Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the account process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
• Mentor and develop staff members and utilize tools to optimize processes
• Provide ad hoc analysis of financial data for operations management leaders as needed
• Support the budget and forecasting processes
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred not required
• 5 years of experience in accounting management
• 2 years of experience in payroll processing
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Proficient in Quickbooks & Microsoft Office, Certificates of Insurance, use and implementation of general office equipment and programs
• Current working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge creating and maintaining accounting reporting processes to assist in job costing
• Experience creating, coordinating and achieving goals through a team of professionals;
• Excellent computer and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
