Warehouse Technicians
Openings: 2 positions
Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Wage: $15.50 - $23.00 (based on experience)
Mayfly Outdoors is a dynamic leader in the fly fishing industry. Our mission is to inspire adventure, elevate the fly fishing experience, and encourage anglers to catch more fish. We are currently interviewing for our shipping and receiving department for Warehouse Technicians.
The Warehouse Technicians are responsible include (but not limited to):
- Overseeing all shipping and receiving activities within our warehouse
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain accurate inventory levels
- Inspect received packages by crosschecking the packing list and ensuring accuracy
- Deliver all receivables to appropriate departments for inspection and inventory updating
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of shipping/receiving, inventory, and supplies
- Attend Operations and Sales meetings when required to provide shipping updates and concerns
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics, sales teams, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
The Warehouse Lead's additional responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Collaborating and coordinating end-of-month and preseason shipping needs, including schedules, crosschecking, and partnering with other departments when required
- Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments
- Train, mentor, and lead warehouse staff in best practices and standard operating procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping or receiving issues that may arise
- Evaluate warehouse layout for product display and most effective fulfillment needs
- Partner with the director to oversee warehouse operations, personnel needs, and development
- Lead contact with Shipping Carriers
- Communicate with the production and sales team on any issues with product inventory for fulfillment: assembly build errors, missing shipments, mismatched tags, etc.
- Utilize shipping background experience to implement better warehouse practices
The ideal candidate should be:
- Organized, detail-oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain management certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse shipping and receiving role,
- At least 2 years in a lead/supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping methods, and inventory manage ment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
