Under general supervision, instructor will teach small group of adult students (10 to 15) within local prison facility. Course content will focus on teaching positive communication skills and workplace skills using curriculum provided by the College. Students vary in skill levels, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences. Schedule: 2 to 3 days/week, 8 AM until 11 AM Rate: $18 per hour
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Delivers engaging instructional activities and lessons for adult learnersDiscusses and helps set appropriate goals with each student (academic, employment, community)Keeps accurate records Maintains positive, professional relationships and communication with students as well as college and prison staffCommunicates effectively with others in person, through email, and by telephoneParticipates in staff development sessions, trainings, and other college functions as appropriateNo outside class duties required
