Key Responsibility Areas
- Financial Accountability: Provide timely and effective oversight and monitoring of customer account balances to ensure mitigation of risk.
- Financial Analysis: Provide timely and accurate analysis and assessment of customer account balances and associated risks to the company.
- Financial Reporting: Support creation and maintenance of customer aging reports and cash forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in AR processes and implement improvements to streamline operations. Collaborate with other departments to optimize the AR workflow.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manages Wholesalers and related customer accounts receivable, including monitoring of aging, payment processing, cash application, collections, and maintenance of required records.
- Supports oversight of third-party revenue management and accounts receivable systems, respectively, and related processes/calculations/records.
- Collaborates with customers, internal stakeholders, and third-party revenue-management and other vendors as required to resolve customer accounts receivable deductions, and discrepancies with customer chargebacks, returns, rebates, and other deductions.
- Prepares monthly accounts receivable general ledger reconciliations and related journal entries.
- Monitors accounts receivable control environment to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Prepares monthly cash forecast for Wholesalers and related accounts receivable.
- Supports GTN accrual rate forecasting and validation via deduction register analysis.
- Supports Finance process automation initiatives, to include those related to or intersecting with the accounts receivable and related functions.
- Supports periodic financial and other audit processes.
- Supports other finance projects and workstreams as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
- Five years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Five years of accounts receivable experience.
- Experience with QAD (ERP)
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, resolve payment issues, analyze trends, and understand gross to net deductions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Strong credit management background
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks without supervision.
