ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Current and valid weld certifications a plus.
Ability to apply concepts of complex algebra and geometry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs. Employees also frequently bend, twist, and reach and may stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Job consists of working in a manufacturing facility. Job could consist of making changes by hand or by running machinery equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Maintain safe work environment (i.e., personal protective equipment, proper lifting techniques, etc.).
- Gain knowledge and inspection practice to ensure conformance to Quality Department’s specifications.
- Inform Management or leads of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
- Assist Engineering and Operations Departments in transitioning products through design, prototype, pre-production, and full production phases. Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment.
- May interface directly with customers to improve processes.
- Work with other Technical Center person(s) to acquire skills required for promotion to Senior Prototype Technician level.
- Ensure conformance to specifications.
- Assist in developing processes, fixtures, and tooling through all phases of development and production.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform advanced quality inspections including blueprint reading, hand inspection methodology, coordinate measuring machine and SPC (data interpretation/process evaluations).
- Take instructions from management/supervisory staff.
- Work from routings, manufacturing instruction sheets, blueprints, visual aids, or other instructions to manufacture product at required quality levels.
- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions, and diagrams to perform task at hand.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and other types of welds based on project needs
- Use Epicor to log into and out of jobs.
