Job Details
The Contract Specialist will assist the U.S Marshals Service’s (USMS’s) Office of Procurement (OOP)-Austing Processing Center (APC) with various types of Government contracts. This position will liaise with Federal Employees, Contractors, and Divisions throughout the U.S. Marshals Service.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must undergo Background Investigation (BI)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct contract reviews, assist in cradle-to-grave operations, call order modifications, and close-outs
- Will be required to input contracts, task orders, and purchase orders into the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
- Assist Government contracting officers with large and small purchase contract actions
- Review solicitation packages for completeness
- Advise and provide program offices with examples of documents to be contained in a solicitation package
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 hours of business credits
- Recent Federal Contracting Officer/Specialist Experience is required
- Contract Close-Out experience is required
- Minimum four (4) years of related working experience demonstrates that the candidate meets the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities
- Must possess advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 8, 12,15 and 19
