Overview
Collection Operations Specialist will oversee transactions and ensure that department and organizational standards are consistent and accurate. In this role the specialist works closely with team members to promote compliance in reference to policies and procedures throughout the entire line of business. The Collection Operations Specialist works as a member of the Collection Operations team and reports to the Director of Collection Operations.
Essential Functions
• Assist the General Manager of Collection Operations in planning, organizing and coordinating functions related to Collection Operations, including recording data, safety, compliance, and reporting
• Management of workflow throughout dispatching roll off and front end
• Assist in the division team with the oversight of the Samsara Program, pre- and post-trip process, hours of service reporting, and coaching
• Assist in the division safety program to include training and incident investigation
• Create specific productivity reports and work with the Collection team to improve efficiency
• Oversee and check all work order documentation to ensure accuracy before it is sent to the Billing team
• Responsible for enforcing Company policies and procedures within the office
• Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements in any aspect relating to increasing performance
• Coordinate with different departments to achieve optimal work production and make improvements
• Monitor expenses and business operational statistics with budget in line with the Accounting Department
• Attend to any correspondence and emails by customer, clients and contractors
• Creates, distributes and closes out customer tickets on a daily basis
• Complete, scan and organize all Collection Operations paperwork
Qualifications
• Proven experience working in business operations
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High self-initiative with the ability to work well under pressure
• Good social and presentation skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Associate’s degree in business administration preferred, but not required
• Legally Eligible to work in the United States
