A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business Administration, Marketing, Market Research, Economics, or related discipline; in the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in a similar role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement, specifically in a similar industry such as manufacturing and/or distribution is required.

Requirements
- Conduct extensive market research to gain insights into various industries and market segments, including steel, automotive, construction, energy, general manufacturing, metal roofing, etc.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities and potential threats.
- Collect and analyze data on customer preferences, buying patterns, and market dynamics to identify potential target markets and market segments.
- Develop and maintain market intelligence databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on competitors, industry trends, and market conditions.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Teams to provide actionable recommendations for product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns based on market research findings.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings, market insights, and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Utilize statistical techniques and forecasting models to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Monitor industry news, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to our business, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging market research methodologies, tools, and best practices, and recommend their implementation to enhance research capabilities.

Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Market Research Analyst or similar role, preferably in a mid to large cap industrial manufacturing or distribution company.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data from various sources.
- Proficient in market research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and statistical tools.
- Knowledge of the steel, automotive, construction, energy, metal roofing and general manufacturing industries, including market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis and visualization tools.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Ethical and professional conduct with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
