We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Market Research Analyst to play a crucial role in gathering and analyzing market data to support our marketing and sales efforts. This individual will conduct in-depth research on the segments we focus on, including steel, automotive, construction, energy, general manufacturing, metal roofing, and others. Additionally, this individual will play a pivotal role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data by identifying market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to provide actionable insights that drive the company's growth and expansion strategies.

  • Conduct extensive market research to gain insights into various industries and market segments, including steel, automotive, construction, energy, general manufacturing, metal roofing, etc.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities and potential threats.
  • Collect and analyze data on customer preferences, buying patterns, and market dynamics to identify potential target markets and market segments.
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on competitors, industry trends, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Teams to provide actionable recommendations for product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns based on market research findings.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings, market insights, and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and forecasting models to support business planning and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor industry news, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to our business, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on emerging market research methodologies, tools, and best practices, and recommend their implementation to enhance research capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business Administration, Marketing, Market Research, Economics, or related discipline; in the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in a similar role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement, specifically in a similar industry such as manufacturing and/or distribution is required.


Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Market Research Analyst or similar role, preferably in a mid to large cap industrial manufacturing or distribution company.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data from various sources.
  • Proficient in market research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and statistical tools.
  • Knowledge of the steel, automotive, construction, energy, metal roofing and general manufacturing industries, including market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Ethical and professional conduct with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
