Safety Manager

Description

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety training for employees, including proper equipment usage, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures.
• Instruct classes on warehouse style fork trucks 1-5, class 7 telehandler forklifts, and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP).
• Hold weekly toolbox talks with service technicians.
• Perform routine job site and facility inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety violations, preparing reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Identify potential workplace hazards and implement preventive measures to minimize risks.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and ensure employees are well-trained in emergency procedures.
• Work closely with management, operations, and service teams to promote a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the construction, rental, or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., conduct site inspections in various weather conditions, and travel between branches as needed.

70,000 to 80,000 annually commensurate with experience and industry knowledge.
