Reporting to the Market Area Vice President, this role ensures adherence to health, safety, and transportation regulations, aligning company standards with federal, state, and local laws. Responsibilities include developing safety programs, analyzing safety performance, conducting incident investigations, managing compliance training, and supervising safety personnel. The position also requires conducting facility audits, route observations, and safety meetings, ensuring that frontline staff understand and follow safety protocols. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with leadership, tracking safety metrics, and implementing corporate safety initiatives. Strong regulatory knowledge (OSHA, DOT, DEC, etc.), leadership abilities, and analytical skills are essential.
