Position Summary
The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the group benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, FMLA, and voluntary plans. The candidate will coordinate benefit programs and assist in the administration of benefits to all shareowners.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Enter enrollment/termination information into all benefit systems.
- Maintain deductions in payroll system.
- Assist employees with changes or questions regarding insurance benefits.
- Monthly reconciliation of insurance billing.
- Submit out-of-network claims on behalf of employees as needed.
- Handle weekly short-term disability claims, checks, and reports.
- Organize annual open-enrollment and Guaranteed-Increase-in-Benefits offers.
- Complete annual 1095 reporting.
- Maintain files and records.
- Promote a culture of approachability and support for all shareowners.
- Support the HR team in other related functions as needed.
- Must have strong knowledge of HR processes and benefits information.
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred, but not required
- Demonstrate professional composure and communication skills.
- Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems.
- Must be proactive and self-motivated, with good follow-through to completion.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence shareowners both up and down the organization.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Proven ability to remain confidential with sensitive information.
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing walking and driving.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- When representing the company at community events, will be required to wear proper company branded apparel.
