Job Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in managing and executing HR functions while ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a positive workplace culture. This is a newly created role for a growing roofing company, designed to support the company's rapid expansion and strategic goals. The position is hybrid, offering both in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, the HRBP will drive Human Capital strategy and support the overall growth and stability of the company. The HRBP will collaborate closely with leadership across departments to ensure effective people management and alignment with company values.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Create and manage job postings across multiple platforms to attract qualified candidates.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews, coordinating with department heads for further assessments.
- Manage the onboarding process, ensuring smooth employee integration into the company culture.
Employee Relations:
- Address employee grievances and mediate conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to boost employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Serve as a communication bridge between management and staff, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
Performance Management:
- Facilitate the performance review process, including feedback and goal setting.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
- Assist in creating and monitoring performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and perks.
- Work with management to maintain a competitive compensation structure.
Compliance and Legal:
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with company goals and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions.
Health and Safety:
- Collaborate with service managers to ensure adherence to OSHA standards and other safety regulations.
- Manage worker’s compensation claims and coordinate with insurance providers.
HR Strategy and Planning:
- Assist in workforce planning and forecasting staffing needs.
- Support the development and maintenance of a strong company culture aligned with the company's values.
- Track and report on HR metrics, such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and recruitment effectiveness.
- Develop a pipeline of service technicians through community initiatives.
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare HR reports, manage HR systems, and handle day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Maintain and update personnel files while ensuring confidentiality.
- Oversee the use of technology and vendor support for employee equipment, such as phones and computers.
Leadership and Support:
- Provide guidance on HR best practices and support leadership in decision-making.
- Offer coaching and support to employees at all levels to help them succeed in their roles.
Training & Development:
- Lead initiatives such as the "Values in Action" series.
- Manage the goal-setting process and work with leadership to align goals across the organization.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
