JOB SUMMARY
MBA Roofing is seeking a highly organized and proactive Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee project logistics, crew coordination, material management, and on-site supervision. This role is responsible for managing the entire commercial roofing process, ensuring projects are completed efficiently while meeting MBA Roofing’s quality and safety standards. The Superintendent will serve as a key leader in the field, maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and general contractors (GCs) to ensure smooth operations and project success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client and Subcontractor Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractor crews, GCs, and customers’ superintendents on job sites.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Collaborate with project teams and on-site personnel to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
Material and Logistics Management
- Inventory Management: Check stock of the shop and maintain current inventory for repairs and replacements.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule replacement crews, ensuring timely execution of projects.
- Material Handling: Manage material deliveries for replacements and pickups for repairs.
- On-Site Support: Transport and deliver trailers, tools, and materials as needed.
- Post-Project Reconciliation: Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of inventory and materials in the shop and information is uploaded into the CRM.
On-Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Pre-Production: Conduct on-site measurements and core sampling for project specifications.
- Production Support: Oversee replacements, address material needs during production, and coordinate trailer runs.
- Post-Production: Conduct inspections with manufacturers and assign punch list completion tasks to repair teams.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce and monitor OSHA safety protocols and company standards for subcontractors and crews.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a superintendent or project coordination role, preferably in commercial roofing or construction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing project needs efficiently.
- Familiarity with roofing materials and construction processes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Preferred: Proficiency in CRM or project management software and tools.
- Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Superintendent will primarily work at job sites and in the office, often exposed to a range of weather conditions, including extreme heat over 90 degrees, cold temperatures in the teens, and rain. This role requires the ability to frequently lift and move up to 70 pounds, as well as perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, crawling, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and gripping while navigating uneven surfaces. Additionally, the Superintendent must be able to safely climb ladders up to 60 feet while carrying up to 30 pounds and correctly wear personal protective equipment.
