What's the role?
The Controller leads the internal accounting team and is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This includes :
- Overseeing the operations of the accounting department for the full MBE affiliate group.
- Using data analytics to make strategic decisions related to financial trends.
- Maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions.
- Managing the production of the annual budgets and forecasts.
- Calculating variances from the budget and reporting significant issues to management.
- Providing financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Monitoring debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
- Managing cash flow for company and subsidiary companies.
- Issuing complete financial statements and weekly reports to production staff and managers.
- Manage internal accounting department team members.

What will my schedule look like?
This role supports our office hours of Monday-Friday 8a-5p with flexibility for business needs as it relates to being in a leadership role. This role ideally works fully onsite but for a highly qualified candidate, we will consider a hybrid scheduling with a minimum of 3 days onsite in our Baraboo or Sun Prairie office weekly.
