Compensation: $115,000 – $140,000 + Mid-Year and End-Of Year Discretionary Bonus

What You'll Do
Thoroughly understand the client’s objectives + vision
Develop the trust of the client and pursue new opportunities
Delegate work assignments based on project scope and team member’s skill set and availability
Manage the production of client deliverables on time and budget
Manage the scope and expectation alignments with the client.
Manage revenue projections and staffing projections.
Assist with billing and collections for assigned projects.
Oversight of, and adherence to, professional standards and technical procedures.
Provide weekly status updates to the Studio Director.
Contract documentation.
Lead design support and development of retail store fixtures, addressing technical issues and drafting working models and intent drawings.
Provide a high level of coordination throughout the project lifecycle with internal and external stakeholders.
Review build partner shop drawings to identify and document any deviations from the client’s creative vision, product specifications, and installation standards.
Work with the client directly, and complete requests on an ad hoc basis - presentations, comparisons, overlays, matrices, models, trackers, etc.
Assist with creating models, mockups, and design validation samples from sketches, models, and drawings.
Maintain samples, specification sheets, design guide content, and internal procedures documentation.
Oversee Designers and Job Captains and coordinate workloads.
Train and Mentor junior staff.
Research and develop efforts and generation of reports relating to materials and manufacturing techniques, coordinating with a variety of vendors and industries
Research and develop efforts on the advancement of retail environments and merchandising experiences.
Understand project success criteria and assist in delivering projects that meet client expectations.
Communicate project information internally and externally in a fast-paced environment.
Utilize knowledge of design and manufacturing to foresee issues such as constructability, materials, budget, timeline, etc.
Facilitate meetings with build partners and clients - provide agendas and meeting recaps.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of design engineering experience in metal and wood product manufacturing; experience with retail clients is a plus.
Experience with prototyping, product testing, and client-facing / vendor-facing work.
Familiarity with Revit, Rhino, Inventor, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Cinema 4D, or similar platforms required as well as knowledge of millwork, fixtures, furniture, cabinetry, or related industries.
Degree in architecture, industrial or engineering design, graphic/creative arts, or related fields preferred.
Familiarity with project management software (Quip, Bluebeam, Wrike, OmniPlan, Jira).
