SUPERVISOR - Shipping Documents Preparation
MBI, Inc., one of the nation's leading direct marketing companies, is looking to hire a take-charge, hands-on individual who wants a challenging supervisory position monitoring the work of 6 to 12 employees and fulfillment operations in our Torrington location.
The successful candidate must be motivated, energetic, and dedicated to the highest standards of excellence. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required in a high volume, results orientated and detail-based environment.
Location : Torrington, CT
Schedule : 6 : 45am to 3 : 45pm, Monday - Friday with overtime during peak season (November-December)
Supervisor Responsibilities Include :
- Supervise the shipping production prep area (batching / kitting documents; matching product to customer invoices, proofing that customer invoices correctly generate, looking up customer accounts, etc.)
- Proven track record leading and motivating a successful team
- Fostering a cooperative, respectful, and supportive work environment
- Navigating peaks, valleys, and "change" proactively
- Emphasis is on monitoring and developing individual contributors to achieve results at a highly effective level including providing feedback and writing / administering regular employee performance reviews and evaluations
- Working with the department manager to establish daily labor plans based on work backlogs
- Delegating tasks strategically to optimize workflow, monitoring daily workloads and ensuring the team is working efficiently and consistently to standard operating procedures
- This is an "on the floor" job with 70-80% of your time working with your team ensuring workflow and solving issues with creativity in the moment
- Maintain a safe work area that is neat and organized
