**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to maintain, repair, and service air conditioning and refrigeration equipment in all MBL facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of essential systems and providing technical support to other staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including electrical and mechanical controls.
- Service research support refrigeration equipment such as centrifuges, ice machines, and domestic refrigerators.
- Capture and store used refrigerants for future use, ensuring compliance with current standards.
- Maintain accurate records for MBL equipment, including data entry and service management.
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies; order parts as needed.
- Collaborate with Plant Operations and Maintenance staff to address mechanical needs.
- Provide technical guidance to other technicians regarding HVAC/R systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and retrieval from established programs.
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), equipment controllers, thermostats, VFD drives, and other HVAC equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with ability to work independently when needed.
- Strong technical reading and writing skills.
