MBS is hiring a Cutting Line Operator in Loveland, OH. This position is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start and stop machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
- Set up, operate, or tend multiple machines to cut material.
- Responsible for ensuring production / quality levels are met, perform size changes, and generate minimal scrap.
- Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
- Plan sequences of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of workpiece materials.
- Position, align, and secure workpieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds.
- Load workpieces into machines.
- Identify quality problems with component(s) or finished products and take the appropriate measures.
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance as needed.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures (health, safety and environment) to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.
- As required, provide training based on the controls plans to new and / or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, quality minded manner.
- Other duties as assigned my management.
