SUMMARY :
Design dies and tools used in the manufacturing process. Assist with the development of methods and casting design. Analyze, plan, design, construct, and apply tools, methods, and procedures necessary to increase manufacturing productivity.
RESPONSIBILITES :
- Work with the Industrial Engineering Department and Foundry team to expand dies and tooling of a casting trim process.
- Use 3D modeling software (CREO) to design new dies and tooling for production.
- Develop tracking of production issues with new dies and develop and implement solutions.
- Develop alternate methods and machines for parts that won't work on the traditional compound trim press.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Currently enrolled in a college, university, or technical school and in progress on Bachelor's or Associate's degree (A.S / B.A. / B.S.) in Industrial Technologies, Engineering, Engineering Technologies or related field.
