About Us
We are a professional consulting engineering firm specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, Geo-Environmental, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, and Pavement Design and Management with offices in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure adherence to safety rules, guidelines, and company policies. Create and model a safe work environment, demonstrating safety practices.
- Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
- Mentor and develop staff technically and for leadership roles.
- Supervise and manage the progress of construction services projects to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
- Risk assessment and management at all levels, including quality assurance of technical and non-technical aspects of the department, including subcontractors/sub-consultants.
- Risk assessment for conventional and alternate delivery contracts.
- Oversight of technical work quality, including proposal preparation, client meetings, and overall client satisfaction.
- Manage the execution of construction services contracts, including report review and preparation, critical review of field and laboratory test procedures and data.
- Contribute to increasing MC Squared's construction services consulting footprint in the market, supporting marketing and business development staff.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects, managing quality standards and practices.
- Provide technical direction for production and completion of routine and complex projects.
- Reporting to leadership.
- Managing budgets.
- Developing strategies to increase productivity and improve operations.
- Resolving escalated customer complaints or queries.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or PhD in Civil, Geotechnical, or Construction Management.
- 15 years of relevant experience in heavy civil projects.
- Familiarity with AASHTO (LRFD) and LFD/ASD procedures applicable for foundations, slopes, and MSE Wall analyses.
- Familiarity with GDOT and/or FHWA procedures for transportation structures and pavement analyses.
- Familiarity with GA geology and local field and design practices is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in GA or ability to secure it within 6 months of hiring.
- Membership in applicable Professional Societies.
