What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geotechnical Field Tech position at MC Squared,LLC?
Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Site reconnaissance and locating bores in the field, log bores in the field, perform pavement coring operations, handle and evaluate geophysical equipment and data, perform hand augers, and assist with drilling operations, rock, and soil classification.
- Assist with field logistics, including subcontractors, permitting with agencies, and oversight of utility location services for projects.
- Conduct field and laboratory testing for concrete, soils, asphalt, grout, aggregates, etc.
- Execute tests following relevant industry standards and procedures to ensure quality results.
- Prepare reports on a computer using Microsoft and other company-relevant software, etc.
EDUCATION
- Must have a minimum of a high school education. (Some college education or a college degree is highly desirable)
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 0 – 2 years of experience on state projects is a plus.
