Sr. Field Technician - Construction Services (Augusta, GA)

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Conduct construction material tests for concrete, soil, asphalt, etc., including determination of moisture content, liquid limit, plastic limit, particle density, particle size distribution, dry density, etc.
• Conduct aggregate tests, including sieve analysis, fine passing, silt content, relative density & water absorption, bulk density, moisture content, LA Abrasion, etc.
• Conduct concrete tests, including design of concrete mix, determination of slump, density of compacted fresh concrete, test cubes from fresh concrete, density of hardened concrete, compressive strength of concrete, etc.
• Conduct building stone tests, including flexural strength, modulus of rupture, compressive strength and absorption, and bulk specific gravity.
• Execute tests following relevant standards and procedures to ensure quality results.
• Use appropriate PPE
• Test stores and logs samples; retrieves cylinders from field projects; and dispose of tested samples.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Education

• Minimum of high school education. (Some college education is highly desirable)
  

Experience

• 3 years of experience with soil, masonry, concrete, and asphalt testing for field operations.
• Structural Steel Inspection experience is a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
  

Licenses Certification

• Certified with ACI, NDG, CTQP, and NICET in Soil, Concrete, and Asphalt. (All Desired, at least some REQUIRED)
