Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the mechanic shop
- Supervise a team of mechanics and provide guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
- Create and manage budgets for the department
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent service
- Market the services of the mechanic shop to attract new customers
- Conduct employee orientation and training programs
- Assist the manager in various administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a lead mechanic or similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles
- Experience in interviewing and hiring mechanics
- Proficient in cash handling and working with point-of-sale (POS) systems
