PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To provide tutoring instruction to students not showing adequate progress in core subject areas and to provide enrichment activities for those students not in need of tutoring.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification: Associates Degree or a minimum of 48 college hours
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Basic clerical skills
Knowledgeable of the subject being tutored
Good interpersonal skills
Experience:
Previous experience tutoring students preferred
Workdays: 180
Hours Per Day: 3-4 hours (up to 19 hours per week)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide academic enrichment assistance to students.
- Tutor students after school.
- Keep attendance records for each student tutored.
- Follow McAllen ISD customer service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in supervision of tutees
