McCain Food’s facility in Wisconsin Rapids/Plover, Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees. This site specializes in the production of french fries and mashed potatoes and produces roughly 3 million pounds of french fries a day!
Position Summary
As the Mashed Potato Line Assistant you will have the opportunity to work on multiple different lines frying potato product. You will assist the Operator with a variety of job functions, tasks and job duties! You will operate all related production equipment in a safe and efficient manner and contribute to the production of our quality products! You would be working closely with the Operator and provides the opportunity for promotion in to a full time Operator role when available!
Key Responsibilities
Performs daily sanitation at assigned area.
Assists operator with changeover responsibilities and equipment set up
Operate forklift
Perform factory and fryer clean-ups, to include high pressure blasting and sanitation.
Maintain lab equipment an perform testing
Transport totes, product and waste, while maintaining information in the computer
Qualifications
Constant: Walking, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist. Walking up and down a flight of stairs.

- Ability to read and understand and communicate safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate in Basic English and interact with all levels of the organization. Must be able to enter data into a computer.
