Hours:
One position is for 12 hours weekly in the evenings
Second position is 5pm to 9pm Monday and Friday and 1am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday
Third position is 30 hours weekly that vary during the week
Job Overview:
McCall's Community is seeking a dedicated HTS (Home Health Aide) to join our team. The HTS Position assist with supports which promote independence, self-sufficiency, and personal goal attainment to residents in a community setting.
Duties include:
Responsible for following the Individual’s Plan.
Provide assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities in acquiring and maintaining individually prescribed self-help, socialization and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in a home/community-based setting.
Assure all required paperwork is accurate and submitted in a timely manner to the office.
When a vehicle is used, complete all required paperwork and turn into the office timely.
Will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s safety, such as in a fire, storm or while in a vehicle. Practice these drills with the individual to ensure they are capable of doing so in an actual fire or storm. Follow all motor safety guidelines.
Attend upon request all staff and other appropriate meetings, training and conferences some of which may require out-of-town travel and evening/overnight attendance.
At all times maintain professional attitude and confidentially of all records and information. Treat all individuals with respect and dignity and ensure that resident rights are respected at all times.
Assist individuals with learning Adult Daily Living Skills (i.e. bathing, oral hygiene, etc.)
Maintain a normal atmosphere and ensure the homes are kept clean and orderly.
Present a positive image of the agency to members of the community
Advocate effectively for the individual served.
Qualifications:
Good role model for others. Deal tactfully and respectfully with personnel, residents, family members and visitors. Work harmoniously with fellow employees to generate productive, cohesive work environment. Must have patience, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations. Understanding of resident rights and confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.
Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and a good driving record. High school diploma or GED. Must pass required background check.
