What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager, Subsurface Utilities Mapping position at McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.?
McCarthy is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time national management position within the Subsurface Utility Mapping (SUM) Group. Applicant must possess 3 years of substantial project management experience. A successful applicant will be responsible for the management of all phases of SUM projects and various subcontractors to support SUM operations. In addition, they will work to sell SUM services, coordinate deliverable processing and manage project financials to ensure the overall financial health of the national business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure SUM projects are executed Safely, on schedule, on budget and with the highest standard of care
- Ensure the SUM Operations team is setup for success on every Project
- Logistical planning and operational management of SUM projects
- Maintain daily contact and provide oversight to SUM Operations Team.
- Responsible to manage all Private and Public utility record information is collected and accessible to the field teams.
- Setup of Subcontracts and POs as needed to support projects
- Responsible for final Deliverable packaging, reporting, and ultimate delivery to the client
- Proactive follow up with project teams and clients to ensure deliverables are understood and the process was performed in accordance with their expectations.
- Develop a budget in support of project proposals
- Tracking Labor, material and subcontractor costs throughout the lifecycle of the project while looking for opportunities for fee enhancement along the way
- Ensuring projects and owners are invoiced appropriately and in a timely fashion
- Works alongside National Business Development Manager to establish potential customer relationships
- Research and analyze target market sectors to identify potential partners and clients
