Oertel Metal Works is currently seeking an Industrial Worker - Welder based out of Davenport, Iowa.
The Industrial Worker - Welder is responsible for assisting the journeymen welders with various steps in the fabrication process and helping to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop. This could include operating a fork truck, moving materials, setting up or operating various equipment, assisting with shipping/receiving & assembly, or other shop tasks. This also includes some MIG, TIG and stick welding.
What makes you successful in this position:
- A current, valid drivers license
- Experience in welding, fabrication, assembly, or CNC machining
- Previous work experience working with your hands and physical labor
- Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and think of yourself as mechanically inclined
This position works Monday to Friday from 9:30pm to 6:00am each day, with the option for overtime. Base pay starts at $26.36/hour.
