Job Description:
Functions as a member of the health care team to assist the professional nurse in meeting the goal of individualized patient care by performing designated patient care activities under the direct supervision of the designated Registered Nurse. Demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment and the development of the nursing care plan, with the ability to provide patient centered care, teamwork, collaboration, evidence-based practice and effective communication. Utilizing skills as outlined in the Nursing Scope of Practice in accordance with the Kentucky Board of Nursing and Murray-Calloway County Hospital policies.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- BLS certification maintained.
Minimum Education:
- Documentation of good standing and completion of second semester clinicals in a 2 year ASN program or completion of junior year in a 4 year BSN program of an accredited school of nursing.
