Part Time Van Driver for Adult Day Care

Overview
McClay Adult Day Center provides services to adults in St. Charles County. We are looking for a part-time driver to transport our participants in the mornings, approximately 7am-10am, and then in the afternoon, approximately 3pm to 6pm. Additional hours as a floor aide are available if desired.

This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while on the road. If you have experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or commercial driving, we encourage you to apply.

Duties

• Safely operate a van to transport participants to and from the center.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting participants with boarding and disembarking, as well as handling their belongings.
• Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing regular inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Communicate effectively with passengers regarding schedules, routes, and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Document any incidents or issues that arise during transportation and report them to management as necessary.

Experience

• Previous experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, or in commercial driving is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations is essential.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with passengers.
• Experience in limousine or paratransit services is a plus but not required.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
