The responsibilities of the Project Manager are as follows:
- Lead and manage all aspects of contract performance, including project planning, scheduling, and execution
- Supervise and coordinate project teams, ensuring all contract deliverables and performance objectives are met
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and government stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and contract compliance
- Oversee project financials, resource allocation, and risk management to maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of service delivery
- Manage personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations, to ensure a capable and responsive workforce
- Ensure compliance with all federal regulations, policies, and contract-specific requirements
- Address and resolve issues, discrepancies, or complaints related to contract execution in a timely and effective manner
- Maintain an on-site presence at FLETC during business hours and be available within 30 minutes for meetings with government officials. After hours, must be on-call and available on-site within two hours
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Previous experience at FLETC Artesia or other FLETC locations is highly desired
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Project Manager on a federal contract of similar size and scope
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management within federal contract environments
- Proven leadership experience, including supervising personnel and managing contract deliverables
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Ability to work on-site during business hours and be on-call 24/7 for urgent contract matters
