Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorney - Am Law 50 Firm

About the Position:

We are working with a leading global Am Law 50 firm that has an immediate need for a privacy/cybersecurity lawyer to join its Chicago office as a mid-level associate. This award-winning practice group has a global reach and this position offers front-line, meaningful responsibility to advise clients on a range of US-focused privacy and other data-related compliance counseling.

Responsibilities:

· Advise clients on a range of US-focused privacy and other data-related compliance counseling

· Assist clients with development and implementation of compliance programs, privacy policies and incident response plans

· Perform compliance gap assessments

· Draft policies and procedures relating to data privacy

Required Qualifications:

· 4 to 6 years of data privacy counseling experience at a large law firm

· Experience with incident response, providing advice, and implementing state privacy laws

· CIPP preferred

· Experience with adtech and cookies/online trackers preferred

· Experience with the financial and health/life sciences sectors strongly preferred

· Strong academic credentials

Location:

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $365,000 - $420,000.
