Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 5-8 years of experience in water resources related design
- Successful Candidate must possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum with an interest in Water Resources/Hydrology and Hydraulics engineering.
- PA or DE Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment
- Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic calculation procedures related to stormwater management/green infrastructure and drainage designs
- Familiarity with PennDOT, PA DEP, DelDOT, DNREC, and local county/municipality design standards and requirements
- Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 Permitting
- Water resources technical design lead and/or project management experience
- Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Additional Skills
- Experience with InRoads or OpenRoads, PondPack, StormCAD
- Familiar with Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, SEPTA, PWD design standards and requirements
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic design and reporting related to culverts and bridges
- Floodplain studies in FEMA detailed and non-detailed study areas
- HEC-RAS 1D, HEC-RAS 2D, SRH-2D, TUFLOW
- Understanding of transportation design and alignment
- Understanding and Implementation of MS4 Permit requirements including TMDLs
- Proven track record of successfully completing all phases of projects ranging from master planning and conceptual design through construction documentation and administration
