McCracken County Fiscal Court is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Custodian. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness at the McCracken County Courthouse and other buildings owned by the County, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Work/Supervise individuals in special jail work programs.
- Handle other custodial duties as directed, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned according to established schedules and protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
