Summary/Objective:

The Tape and Spline Installer is responsible for the accurate and efficient installation of tape and spline on roller shades. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a customer-oriented approach to delivering high quality shades.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for spline roller shades, cut the spline to the appropriate length to fit the fabric and roller. For tape roller shades, ensure the tape system is prepared for insertion into the shade fabric. Able to read label specification as required.

2. Installs fabric onto the roller, ensuring the fabric is correctly aligned and secured. For spline shades, insert the spline into the groove to hold the fabric taut. For tape shades, attach the fabric to the edge tapes for reinforcement. Perform duties with minimal supervision.

3. Ensures that the fabric is properly tensioned to allow smooth rolling without sagging or becoming loose.

4. Accountable for continuous inspection of material throughout process to identify potential quality concerns and to remove imperfections. Able to bring defects/problems to the attention of supervisor before it goes to customer.

5. Maintains an organized and clean work environment to facilitate manufacturing functions, performing all work activities in accordance with safety standards.

6. Participate/ in continuous improvement projects by recognizing and sharing suggestions on areas of improvement.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This job will be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. This list is not all inclusive.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will frequently need to talk, read, and hear. The role requires standing, walking, climbing stairs, using hands and fingers, reaching, and engaging in repetitive bending and squatting for 8-9 hours a day. The employee must also have the ability to read and understand detailed information, including small print on labels, and perform tasks that require attention to small or intricate details, ensuring accuracy and precision. Additionally, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. demands. In addition, the position will require occasional overtime. In some cases, overtime may be assigned the same day as the need.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Minimum of one-year (1) year of related experience
