Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Case Manager/Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing a caseload of workers’ compensation claims from intake through resolution, working closely with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters. The ideal candidate will have experience in workers’ compensation law, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Handle a caseload of workers’ compensation claims, ensuring all deadlines and case milestones are met.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring excellent client service.
- Document Preparation: Draft pleadings, correspondence, demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Claim Coordination: Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers regarding claims, benefits, and treatment.
- Litigation Support: Assist attorneys with hearing preparation, including drafting pleadings, preparing exhibits, and scheduling depositions.
- Compliance & Deadlines: Monitor and track case deadlines.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims, either as a case manager or paralegal in a law firm setting required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in document preparation and case handling.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and team members to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
