Job Description
The Senior Director of Corporate Strategy will contribute to setting short-term strategy and execute long-term strategy for the function. This person will be accountable for the performance and results of at least one team within a function. This role requires the ability to come to an agreement through discussion and compromise on short-term operational, tactical or strategic issues, which can be internal and external and of shared and divergent interest.
This person will identify and solve complex problems that have a broad impact on the function and create methods to address current and future customer needs. This position is also accountable for leading multiple projects across a function with high risk and is responsible for budget and resource allocation for project teams.
Responsibilities
- Leads and shapes special strategic projects initiated by the global senior leadership team
- Leads the development and execution of McDonald's global competitive intelligence capabilities in coordination with Investor Relations
- Develops executive-level communications on behalf of the Corporate Strategy team, including in advance of Global Senior Leadership Team meetings
- Leads planning and execution of annual Board of Directors Strategy Session, outlining strategic outlook and opportunities
Qualifications
- Leading agile teams to scale learnings across markets/business / General Management, Consulting (Other senior Director roles)
- 10 years in consulting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, strategic planning
- Masters degree in related field required Finance/Business
