We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care in a kennel environment.
*Responsibilities*
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to schedules
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal areas
- Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns to the veterinary staff
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and administering medications as directed
- Interact with pet owners and provide excellent customer service
*Qualifications*
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician is preferred
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint, and behavior
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with dog handling and training techniques is a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Passion for working with animals and ensuring their well-being
- Valid driver's license
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Shift:
- 4 hour shift
Work Days:
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
