Summary
An opening currently exists for a Production Manager at our Adelanto, CA location. The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day activities to meet production deadlines and provide leadership for team members. The Production Manager drives the lean process to maximize profitable growth, provides premier customer service, develops a technically qualified workforce, and reduces operating cost and inventories through continuous improvements. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

6:00 am – 3:00 pm M-F
Responsibilities
- Works with the Operations Manager to:
- Establish plant-wide goals and track key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
- Direct production and ensure cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, performance and safety standards.
- Select, train, develop and motivate manufacturing staff and ensures cross training of all team members across all job functions to allow for flexing of employees to optimize the effectiveness of the entire plant.
- Lead and guide lean initiatives within the plant and helps develop the overall lean strategy to be implemented plant-wide.
- All aspects of managing the plant team members to include developing team members, employment decisions, and performance assessments of team members
- Ensures all team members receive training in lean methodologies, standard operating procedures and the lean tools used for continuous improvement and elimination of waste.
- Ensures compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state and local regulations.
- Empowers team members in a positive manner to drive team’s success.
- Assure effective customer service and relations through timely delivery of a quality product.
- Works with managers to learn budget, payroll, credit, traffic, etc. to operate manufacturing facility with a high level of service and effectiveness at lowest possible cost.
Experience/Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem analysis and problem-solving skills and have ability to coach team members in developing these skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and execute.
- Ability to refine manufacturing processes to achieve continuous improvements in quality, delivery and cost.
- 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Lean management experience.
