Lead Commercial Furniture Installer

McGarity’s Business Products is looking for a Lead Commercial Furniture Installer.

Position is responsible for delivering and installing furniture at customer sites and warehouse work as required. This includes driving a 26ft box truck, loading and unloading furniture, assembly, placement, and repairs as needed. The candidate will be the principle point of contact with the customer on delivery day(s) and communicate effectively with McGarity’s office staff any issues. The installation and assembly generally consist of seating, desks, cubicle systems, tables, wall hangings, and other general office furnishings. This candidate is responsible for efficiently completing the day’s schedule each day with a high level of workmanship and providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Loading truck with proper items from warehouse for days route
• Drive 26ft box truck to customers location for installations
• Assemble and install furniture according to specifications and guidelines
• Inspect furniture for any damages or defects before installation, document issues
• Ensure all installations are completed efficiently and accurately
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate installations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Warehouse work as required (organizing, preparing for deliveries, etc.)

Skills Required

• 3 Years of work consisting of installation work (furniture work or furniture assembly preferred)
• Handy with tools and experience using power tools.
• Required to have basic hand tools. Specialty/Power Tools are provided.
• Experience hanging items on various wall types a plus.
• Valid Drivers License (CDL not required)
• Clean MVR
• A valid DOT Health Card (or ability to acquire prior to start of employment)
• Experience driving a 26ft box truck
• Ability to lift in excess of 65Lb repetitively, sometimes including carrying items upstairs.
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications and a professional appearance

Standard Schedule is M-F 7am-4pm, overtime paid as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
