McGarrah Jessee is seeking a Creative Director / Copywriter to head up one of our longtime clients and a significant agency account. Hint, hint : It helps if you’re a fan of a beloved restaurant with orange and white stripes that serves up hot and fresh food 24 / 7.
Although McJ is Unbound, this role requires someone who lives in Austin or elsewhere in the state of Texas - also open to relocation.
The candidate needs to have experience running an account or multiple accounts as a CD. You need to have been in a position of managing multiple, cross-disciplinary teams to create effective and award-winning work on a national brand.
There will be a good amount of client exposure with this position, so highly developed interpersonal skills and an aptitude for business are a must. You must be a compelling, persuasive advocate for the work you will help create. As big as those opportunities are, there is also a need for attention to detail. There are a lot of moving parts on this account and they are all important.
Responsibilities :
Creative direction and leadership
Establish and nurture strong relationships with client team
Guide and mentor more junior creatives and create the conditions for the team to do great work
Requirements :
Killer portfolio showing solid conceptual abilities and craft
Demonstrated ability to reach beyond traditional advertising approaches into innovative and unexpected solutions
Knack for presenting ideas in a compelling way both informally and formally
Collaborative approach
10 years of experience with at least two to three years in a creative director capacity
