Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, jazz and hip-hop, and possess the ability to teach students of all ages and skill levels. This role requires not only expertise in dance but also a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for creating lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and encouraging students to express themselves through movement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of students.
- Instruct students in various dance styles.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive atmosphere for learning.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
- Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall curriculum.
- Stay updated on current trends in dance education and incorporate them into lessons.
- Foster an appreciation for dance as an art form among students.
Skills
- Experience in theater or performance arts is a plus.
- Proficient in lesson planning that accommodates various learning styles.
- Effective classroom management skills to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Understanding of childhood development principles, particularly in early childhood education settings.
- Experience working with special education students is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire students through teaching.
