What are the responsibilities and job description for the ODP Training Specialist position at McGee Aegis Solutions?
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
Minimum 3 years working within the ODP system.
Knowledge of 6100, 6400 and 6500 ODP programs, their regulations and the oversight entities.
Previous training experience preferred, but not required.
Job Duties:
· Become a certified trainer through the American Red Cross for CPR and First Aid
· Become a certified trainer for Ukeru Training
· Become a ODP certified Medication Administration trainer
· Familiar with mandatory annual trainings under 6100, 6400, and 6500 regulations
· Ability to transition training material to a slide deck and conduct meaningful, in-person trainings
· Conduct New Employee Orientation training on a monthly basis
· Willingness to travel between office regions to conduct New Employee Orientation or trainings as needed
· Shows an understanding of the spirit of ODP’s Incident Management Bulletin
· Ability to work independently
· Coordinate and prepare slide decks, paperwork and materials required for training
· Organize and file hard copies and/or electronically file training records upon successful completion and conclusion of the training
· Become familiar with Aegis Employee Handbook, Aegis policies and procedures
· Well versed in ODP language, policies and procedures
· Appropriate inter-personal skills, vocabulary and ability to speak in front of others
· Ability to utilize Microsoft Suite with a heavy emphasis on PowerPoint and electronic filing
· Good overall familiarity with electronics, mirroring, and other equipment for training purposes
· Update trainings, materials and certifications as ODP and agency updates training requirements, policies and procedures
· Promotes an environment that exudes the mission of Aegis
Required experience, education and proficiencies:
· 21 years or older
· Valid PA Driver’s License
· Completion of Background checks as outlined by state regulations.
· Completion of Drug Test
· Proficient knowledge of office management systems (MS Office) and procedures (Advanced Skills in Microsoft PowerPoint)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
